magazine ITA
Fresh Blood, one of the hystorical columns of the old
"Flash" dedicated to the upcoming bands, comes back. The
very italians Helalyn Flowers, electro-goth metal duo on
which we bet at closed eyes, baptize it! The good, nice,
willing and most of all determined Noemi and Max tell us
'bout various things, between past, present and future.
Always in this space you can find our opinions 'bout
their debut-ep "Disconnection", and a face-to-face with
Noemi...just to get pissed off the hard-liners of the "boring
interview"!!!
1. PAST
(influences, previous bands)
"Both we played in The Claw, band in between Nu and Goth
Metal, that then we splitted up to give life to Helalyn
Flowers in 2004. We felt the necessity to pour out our
many influences into something able to mix and
re-interpretate 'em, caughting the main elements of
genres such as electro, rock, nu/goth metal, industrial,
psych-pop, trip-hop, alternative, dark arriving to
soundtrack liked orchestral atmospheres. The Claw was a
good band, Helalyn Flowers is simply the band that we
always wanted to find in a music shop shelf!".
2. PRESENT ( debut-release and first feedbacks, from
foreignlands too)
"Our debut-ep 'Disconnection' is the result of six
mounths of sleepless nights and pure alienation! We
entered the Temple Of Noise Studios (Rome) during
February 2005 and completed the whole work in just two
weeks. we've tried to let our electro side breath
without suffocate of synthetic the rocker and catchier
one. Without doubt the sound is remarkable, thanks also
to the excellent production that has contributed to
caught each shade of ours in a well balanced way. we
started to promote 'Disconnection' by ourselves, taking
advantage of each mean at our disposal (web, radio,
magazines...) and the results haven't been late at all!
The feedback has been monstruous, concerning
foreignlands for first...In the States we're costantly
in rotation on various radios, there we're in a Top 10
together with very important bands such as Suicidal
Tendencies, Motley Crue and The Rasmus. In germany has
been founded a fan page totally dedicated to us, then we
dayly receive orders, congratulating mails, wedding
proposals (!) from UK, South America, Canada and Japan
in primis! we caught the occasion to thank from the deep
of our hearts all the Helalyn Flowers-addicted worldwide!".
3. FUTURE ( next plans, goals
and dreams)
"By now it would be perfect to concretize a deal equal
to our expectations. By the way, we're still proud of
the results reached 'till now in complete indipendence.
All that you get, photos, artwork, site, image,
scenographies, is totally fruit of our hands...and minds!
Besides we're actually working with intensiy on new
tracks that shall contribute, besides to our imminent
debut full-lenght, to the beginning of a long series of
concerts to which we're thinking in great, to present to
the spectators moments of pure entertainment and not of
mere and simple performance of our songs! The request
from our fans 'bout seeing us in tour with bands such as
The Birthday Massacre, HIM and Lacuna Coil are really
numerous! well, maybe it would be great to please'em,
don't you believe?!".
