Helalyn Flowers is a thousand facetings project created
by Max (guitars, synths and programming) and Noemi (vocals
and programming), which product looks greatly thanx to a
really professional manufacture (beautiful the booklet).
"Acid Love Code" opens the dances in the best way,
because it develops from a strong gothic metal basis in
a modern and functional song, that marries in an only
one strike further influences, here electro there wave
oriented, for a result that amzes and that, finally, can
let us talk'bout a band that looks at the future too!
"Alienate Me" is the most successfull moment of the
whole work, because it follows that mood so dear to The
Birthday Massacre, a happy syncretism between pimp pop
melodies (the refrain is overpowering!) and that
trendy-metallic taste typical to the last Theatre Of
Tragedy. The same goes to the excellent "Disorder", that
even wink at Lacuna Coil, while with "Alive" and
"Amnesia" arrive two less direct moments where Helalyn
Flowers show of being able to create particular and
wrapping atmospheres, always dominated by a damnately
modern and effective electric charge. In brief, this "Disconnecton"
is a work that destroys all barriers and that leads
straight towards the future! Caught this fruit to look "beyond"... |
